Vinklátová, Veronika ; Valešová Malecová, Barbara (advisor) ; Komorná, Marie (referee)
The bachelor's thesis The use of bibliotherapy in the development of reading literacy of prelingually deaf children connects the field of bibliotherapy with deaf studies. The aim of the thesis is to draw up a proposal for a bibliotherapy program based on theoretical knowledge which aims at supporting the development of reading literacy of pupils who lost their hearing before learning spoken Czech and who consider the Czech sign language (which will also be the primary communication code of the programme) as their first language. The theoretical part summarizes and synthesizes Czech and foreign knowledge about the deaf (with an emphasis on their communication systems and the acquisition of Czech language), reading literacy, its meaning and development, and bibliotherapy and its techniques. The practical part of the thesis contains a proposal for a bibliotherapy program in which clients will work with different types of texts, such as comics, recipes, popular science texts and narration. Activities following the reading develop selected reading strategies and components of reading literacy.

In my research I focus on the seven basic emotions (fear, anger, sadness, surprise, hapiness, disgust and contempt) and one social emotions (shame). The research did not confirm my assumptions. No statistically significant difference among the three groups in the overall identification of emotional expression was proved. The only difference was in the recognition of disgust which resulted in favor of the hearing. In the general comparison of ages between the hearing impaired (the deaf and the hard of hearing together) any significant differences were not discovered, either. Nevertheless, within each age...
Communication problems of the majority society with a group of deaf
Vaculíková, Zuzana ; Mrkosová, Eva (advisor) ; Hádková, Kateřina (referee)
The topic of the thesis is communication problems of the majority of society and groups of deaf people. Deaf people also live in the majority of hearing society. These people meet each other and they can communicate with each other. This communication is problematic, however, because in the communication of deaf and hearing there are communication barriers. In this thesis, we used a quantitative method of the surveyed hearing respondents. We researched what communication problems exist in the communication of the majority society and a group of deaf people. Based on the methods used, we found that communication problems are mainly caused by a lack of awareness of the major societies of the group of deaf people. In this thesis, we propose to raise awareness of the majority of the hearing society about a group of deaf people, in order to eliminate communication problems. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
